Descartes Systems Group (Waterloo, Ontario) has announced their MobileLink technology has achieved Enterprise Mobility validation through completing Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Validated Solution Program that includes joint testing at the Motorola Solution Center located in Holtsville, N.Y. MobileLink was granted the Enterprise Mobility validation for Motorola’s ES400 enterprise mobile computer. This designation helps assure customers and partners of system interoperability between Motorola mobile computers and Descartes’ MobileLink solution.
Descartes MobileLink, part of Descartes’ mobile and wireless fleet management suite, is a solution that provides integrated two-way wireless communication between dispatchers and the field. The solution enhances logistics execution through real-time data exchange with remote personnel. By keeping the entire enterprise up-to-date on delivery status and truck/driver location, companies can rely on actual performance data, improve on-time performance and predict delivery windows more accurately. In addition, customer satisfaction improves due to better visibility.

Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Validated Solutions Program enables partners to test and validate their mobility solutions on Motorola products to help ensure interoperability and meet customer application-specific needs, as well as reduce both the risk level and the time to deployment for the customer. Working closely with Motorola engineering teams, Descartes MobileLink has been tested and co-validated on Motorola’s ES400 enterprise mobile computer.
