DHL Deeds Land to Ohio Port Authority

Earlier this month, DHL deeded the country's largest privately owned airport to the Clinton County (Ohio) Port Authority, paving the way for redevelopment of the site. The 1,500-acre Wilmington Air Park employed more than 8,000 and was the largest employer in a six-county region of southwest Ohio until DHL Express closed its national hub there last year.

Included in the property transer are about 1,500 acres of land and several buildings located, for the most part, "inside the fence" of the airport. ATSG, ABX Air and AMES all will continue their leases of buildings at the airport.
